Gumnuts are hard woody capsules that have a thick wall which is not destroyed by heat. The capsules open up after fire to release the undamaged seeds. So the Gumnut is like a little beacon of hope, a sign of life after devastation. Regenerating our landscape, providing shelter and a safe haven for our native fauna.
